Meezer Monday

I'm still working on getting one of those birds! Mom still has to watch me closely, sometimes I get so excited I just have to try to jump on the fence. Sometimes she has to put me on the lead, other times she just stays right next to me. I get thrown inside if I try...sigh....but I got very close to a mourning dove today!

Dad is looking pretty good. He is up and around, and even went out with Mom for lunch on Sunday. The swelling is down, but he has a good shiner! And it also looks like he got too close to a sewing machine! He was so touched by all the comments from all the kitties (yes, he loves reading my blog!), and asked me to let all of you know how much it meant to him. So Mom is going back to work today, and she even has a fast trip to New York on Tuesday, coming back late on Wednesday so she can take Dad to his post-op visit on Thursday to get his stitches out.

Happy Meezer Monday every kitty!

Friday with Dad

We are spending the day snuggling with Dad. He looks like he got run over by a train. Or lost a major fist fight. Even though he looks pretty bad, the surgery yesterday went well. They took a cancer spot off his nose and one off his ear. Unfortunately, both were so big they needed to take some skin from his neck to fix his ear, and skin from his cheek to fix his nose. But once it heals, he should be good as new. But right now, hmmmm......, won't be winning any beauty contests any time soon. Too bad he won't let us post a picture. But his lungs did fine, and Mom gets to take off his dressings today and clean him up. Mom was afraid we might not recognize him when he got home, or he might smell funny. But we knew it was Dad all along.

Whappin and Meezer Rule Wednesday

Whappin in the backyard is lots of fun. I've been busy whappin damsel flys! And I even ate one.... Mom is worried she might find damsel fly yack later on. Kavan was busy whappin bees.

I told him to be careful. I have experience whappin bees, and let me tell you, they can hurt!

Meezer Rule: Its important to clean your furs good after a whappin session in the backyard.

Mom and Dad got home safely from their overnight trip to the mountain house on the two wheeled machine. Dad is still having some trouble breathing. Apparently, he has a lung condition with a name with lots of long words that make it hard for him to breath sometimes. And he is suppose to have some surgery this Thursday on some cancer spots on his face. Mom is a little worried, so she has been going with him to his doctor's appointments. He has a pre-op appointment today, and Mom is going to make sure it is safe for him to have the surgery.

Sunday Easter Morning at Home

Well, we had a reprieve from the green machine and the new medicine to make us sleep. Dad wasn't feeling good on Friday, and Mom was worried about me as I had been a little sick with yakking on Monday, so Mom and Dad decided not to take us to the mountain house. While I was looking forward to hunting for lizards in the back yard, I'm glad we didn't have to do the drive. So we get to spend Easter Sunday at home. Dad is feeling better, so they are thinking of riding the two-wheeled machine up to the mountain house this afternoon and coming back tomorrow. Well, we better get ham if they are going to leave us over night!

If you celebrate Easter, we hope you have a special day. But everyone enjoy the a wonderful Sunday with family and friends!

Meme and Mountain House

Oh, its been a long week! And we are going to the mountain house today! I'm nervous, Mom and Dad picked up something from the V-E-T called acepromazine. It is suppose to make me relaxed on the trip up. I think both Tara and I are going to get it, a big 10 mg pill! I'm a bit nervous, I've never taken anything like that before. I hope it will make the trip easier.

Beautiful Tamra made her new little brother Griffin tag me for the middle name meme.

Here are the rules:

1. You have to post the rules before you give your answers.

2. You must list one fact about yourself beginning with each letter of your middle name. (If you don't have a middle name, use your maiden name or your mother's maiden name).

3. At the end of your blog post, you need to tag one person (or blogger of another species) for each letter of your middle name. (Be sure to leave them a comment telling them they've been tagged.)

I'm not sure I have a middle name! Kavan is Irish, and it means "The handsome one". So I'm going to use handsome as my middle name.

H: Hunky mancat. Wouldn't you agree?
A: Annoying. At least Tara thinks so.
N: Naughty. Hey, I'm a mancat!
D: Devilish. I love getting into things I'm not suppose to!
S: Silly Boy. Mom calls me this all the time.
O: Obnoxious. Again, this comes from Tara.
M: Miserable, only when I'm in the green machine going to the mountain house.
E: Energetic. I love chasing Tara around the house!

I think by now pretty much everyone has been tagged, so I tag anyone who wants to play!

Whappin Wednesday

Dad quit work forever last Friday! Hard to believe. Mom and Dad had a big party at the pub where Mom plays Irish fiddle, and they invited their "one-handed" friends (you know, I can count my best friends on the fingers of one hand). Well, they need both Mom and Dad's hands! Mom has been saying for the last year she has a long "honey do" list for Dad. So our friend Lynn brought Dad Ms. Honey Dew! She is going to help with the list... (that is mom in the background)

Our other good friend Janet (she has two great woofies, Roslyn and Tully, named for Tullimore Dew) is a great cook. She baked Dad a cake. When she asked Dad what kind he wanted, he said "You know, one of those kinds that a naked lady jumps out of." Dad! So Janet put this box on top and Dad cranked the handle..... (that is her standing up)

And out jumped a troll! Janet said it as suppose to be naked, but the company she ordered it from goofed up. Yes, that is Mom in the background in the glasses with the big mouth!

But the Troll did wish him luck!

They brought the troll home and we got to practice whapping it! First Kavan tried...

I thought I'd better investigate....

Then I gave it a whap...

Kavan looked hungry!

And he attacked! The troll was great fun!

Now Dad is home full time, it is great! Mom still is working, but is starting to spend more time home. She doesn't have any pictures from St. Patrick's night, but I know she had fun, as she had a headache the next morning, and had a hard time going to work!

Happy St Patrick's Day!

Sorry I don't have much of a post, its been a busy weekend. Dad had a retirement party on Friday, and Mom's been busy with her Irish music all weekend and is playing tonight at the Pub. Will visit everyone and post pictures in the next few days once Mom recovers. We are heading up to the mountain house on Friday. I overheard Mom talking to the V-E-T about something to make us sleep. Who wants to sleep?????

Sunday Morning Meme

This is MY bed, I won it in Monty Q's contest. Kavan knows better than to get in it, but sometimes he stretches it a bit...

Junior tagged me for the middle name meme a few days ago. I had to think about it for a while.

Ok, so I am Tara, Princess Meezer, so I guess Princess is my middle name.

P: Pouty. Especially if I don't get my own way.
R: Royal. Of course.
I: Indignant. I mean, grounded for jumping a fence?
N: November, my gotcha month.
C: Cutie pie. Mom calls me this quite often, although I don't like it that much. I mean, I'm not cute, I'm beautiful!
E: Elegant. What can I say?
S: Sleek. Although I'm twelve pounds, I'm very long and tall, so I look lean and lanky.
S: Silly girl. Mom calls me this all the time too, I don't like it either.

Now I am suppose to tag eight kitties. Hmmm, hopefully they haven't already done this. Lets see, I'll tag Bill (Sammy and Miles new brother), Griffin (Tamra's new brother), Mickey, Scout, Moki, Rosetti and Kiarara, and Queen Snickers.

Grounded

Mom, I'm sorry, really. I didn't mean to jump up on the fence in the side yard when you weren't looking, and when you told me to get down, I really didn't mean to jump into the neighbor's yard. I'm sorry Dad had to break into their back yard 'cause they weren't home and had, like, three latches on their gate. And I'm sorry Dad had to hand me over the fence to you while you were standing on a ladder. Its just, well, its so nice outside, I just had to see what was on the other side! But I was a little scared, and I know I was shaking when you hauled my sorry a#$ into the house, telling me how bad I was. Please don't ground me for life, I really would not have gone far. Please, please take me out tomorrow, I promise to be good

Tuesday Toyday

Kavan, guess what? There are TWO balls in the track!

No there is not!

Oh yes, I put the other one there, look!

Wow, how did you do that?

I'm not telling, its my secret...

I'm so proud of myself...

Will you teach me how to do that Tara?

Maybe some day Kavan

Missing Meezer Monday

Darn Blogger, I can't get my pictures uploaded! So Meezer Monday is missing today. I'm also having trouble getting Blogger pictures to load when I visit other blogs, and I can't get my blog roll to load, so I'm sorry if I haven't visited in a while (excuses, excuses). Also, Mom's been lazy and has been refusing to help me blog, and to top it off, the two days she helped us blog last week were all for Kavan! So what if it was his birthday, this is MY blog!

This is Dad's last week at work! Friday is his last day! Mom's in denial, she and Dad have worked at the same place for over 20 years and have always driven in together. Now she has to do it herself. She is trying to go down to 3 days a week, and hopes to get in a van pool. That sounds a bit strange to me, there is a pool in a van, and somehow that is going to help her get to work? What ever, as long as it means more time for Mom and Dad to be home.

Happy Meezer Monday!

Tuckered-out Tuesday

Oh my gosh, do I have a headache! I think I over did the niptinis yesterday at my birthday party. Thanks everyone for coming, it was so much fun, what I can remember of it that is....Did I dream that I stole a headbutt from Tamra, or did it really happen? Who was that meezer on the ceiling? And did I hear someone meowing in German? Ohhh....its all running together...

Meezer Mancat Monday: I'm a REAL MANCAT NOW!

IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!

Thanks for the great graphic, Zoolatry, you are the best! So everyone come and PARTY! I'm a WHOLE YEAR OLD! And I got some great new toys I'll share with everyone out in the backyard. The weather is great, the bird feeder brings lots of live fevers to chase, and the birdbath is full of niptinis!

I got a nip sock with a bell on it...

I'll even share my new nip pad with Tara...

This one was the best. A furry mouse filled with nip, and it is refillable!

Thanks Mom! This was so much fun! Come on everyone, lets play!

And an even better birthday present was from the lovely Tamra Maew who gave me this award! My cheeks feel a little flushed....

I know they already got this award, but Chey, Sammy and Miles, and Latte all have been a great inspiration for me!

Sorry we haven't been around much, Mom's been super busy at work. Dad only has two weeks of work left, can you believe it?!?!?! Mom keeps promising she is going to cut back, but I haven't seen any evidence of that yet. She's even going to be out of town on Tuesday and Wednesday. But at least Dad will be home with us!
