Snowy Saturday!

Look at what we woke up to! This is our back yard!

Our picnic table really shows how much snow fell! Mom had the door open to take these pictures, and I just couldn't stand it, I ran outside! Mom just laughed. I stopped in my tracks it was so cold , but then I decided to explore a bit.....

No lizards now. By the time Mom got her snow boots on to come out and get me, I was at the back door wanting back in. Then both Kavan and I went out to the front porch. At least there was some places with no snow!

I'm not too sure about this....

I think it is time to go back in. It might be pretty, but its way too cold! Hopefully the worst is past and we can get home tomorrow.

I do not like going out in the snow. For some reason the woman always takes us our and stands us in it to see us be annoyed by how wet our toes get. She is so cruel!

Whoa! That's awesome. I've never walked on snow before.

Does this mean you get to stay at your Mountain House?

Ooo, our snow is melting and you just got a pile. Mom sez snow is a four letter word.

Looks like about 6 inches, not too bad. Mum was watching the weather people and they were talking feets of snow in the mountains.

Stay warm, have a safe trip home.

That snow looks AMAZING! It musta been mighty cold to keep two intrepid Meezers in check!

Good luck gettin' out on Sunday. Your neck of California is gettin' much harder hit than ours.

Be safe!

Tara, you inspired my mom this morning and she has been reading poetry in between hugging Trixie, who is helping her type right at this minute.

Do you mind that we posted about you? http://lesliesmyers.blogspot.com/2008/01/footprints-in-snow.html

I assume you're at your mountain home and not Modesto. My mom just got home from Lodi where my aunt's house nearly blew over (she likes to exaggerate.) Hope you miss the foul weather on your way home.

That white stuff looks so interesting. Too bad they don't make snow booties for cats, or do they? What's a girl to do when it's time to explore in the snow? Maybe be held by a bean. Thank you for the pictures.

Now that I've read your past posts, I feel bad for not knowing that you've been at your mountain house for awhile now. Unfortunately, I visit my friends in alphbetical order and I don't usually make it to the t's. I'll have to have a more organized way of visiting. I wish you luck on the road tomorrow. When mom was on the road today there was A LOT of rain, but at 6:30pm in San Jose all is clear. Be safe. I hope nobody feels sick on the road.
