What Springs Means to Me

Sitting out in the yard, enjoying the late winter sunshine, it was beginning to feel like spring! It made me consider what spring means to me. It means...

Taking a sip out of the bird bath

Using a real wooden fence as a scratching post!

The first whiff of the first daffodil!

Enjoying it all with your family!

A time of rebirth
A time of renewal
A time of tolerance towards the younger ones!

Fearless Friday

Its raining again. Makes all of us cranky. Its hard to go outside, and Dad complains that it makes the green machine all dirty and he was to take it to the machine washer. I can't believe he would willingly go to that place! Last time we came home from the mountain house, he pulled into this place....

that had this big, huge opening that he drove through after handing over some green papers...

As we went through this cave, it rained all over the machine, and these big rags beat the machine over and over, as if it had done something wrong! Well, I thought it had done something wrong by having me locked up in it, but I should have been let out before it got punished! I was brave though, and just watched everything through the window. And now Dad says he has to take the green machine in again for some more punishment! This time he will need to be fearless without me!

Tickled Tuesday

Kavan and I got a box in the mail. It was our prize for my honorable mention as Best Fur Sisfur in Abbie's Best Fur Sibling of the Year Contest! I had to share with Kavan, as he was the one who nominated me. I was so touched by what he wrote, I've even been trying to be nicer to him!
I had to check out the box! It smelled so great!

This mousie looks like fun...

Just look at all this great stuff! And in my favorite color!

Awwww....nip balls....I'm in heaven!

Thanks Abbie, it was a great contest!

Happy Valentine's Day!

While Dad was getting ready to help us take pictures for our valentines, Mom got out the nip heart that Latte encouraged her to get me last year, and the crinkle bag.

I'm not a huge nip fan, but I had forgotten how good this smelled....

Then Kavan got a whiff, and let me tell you, he loves nip....I tried to keep it..but (or should I say butt...)

He had to steal it! Look at those nip induced eyes!

He got into it so much he ripped a hole in the seam, and now he is dragging nip all over the carpet! So while he settled down, Dad and I took this picture for my valentine Kimo. I know chocolate is not good for kitties, but it is such a lovely box, and think of the fun we could have with it! Happy Valentine's Day Kimo!

(Kavan staggers in....)

Now its my turn! Dad and I worked on this all night. I wanted the perfect picture with some beautiful roses for my beautiful Valentine, Tamra! I move a bit fast, so we had to do lots of takes, but finally Dad got this picture.

I'm still a bit shy around the beautiful Tamra. I hope she likes the picture. Happy Valentine's Day Tamra!

Meezer Rule Dreaming

I'm dreaming... I'm dreaming of my valentine, the beautiful Tamra. I can't believe she agreed to be my Valentine! I'm such a happy almost mancat. Tomorrow is Valentine's day, and I have a Valentine! I can't wait...

Meezer Rule: Always get up the nerve to ask a pretty girl meezer to be your valentine, as the result can be worth the angst (big word for the day).

Thoughtful Tuesday

Can you believe Kavan has a Valentine?! And its the lovely Tamra Maew! Ah, good looks run in the family. Kimo was sweet to ask me to again be his valentine, and I said yes. Dad bought Mom some beautiful roses and chocolates, and she is taking him to a lovely bistro for a nice romantic dinner on Valentine's day night. Isn't it all just lovely? I felt so sweet I had to help Mom make the bed. It all makes me happy to be a part of it!

Meezer Mancat Monday Question

I'm a bit nervous...I've been thinking about this all weekend. Valentine's day is Thursday. I'm almost a mancat, and I have to work up my nerve to do this...Am I good enough for her? She is so pretty and elegant. Ok, here it goes....

Tamra Maew, will you do me the honor to be my Valentine?

(I'm hiding now)

UPDATE: SHE SAID YES!! (yippee, backflip)

Finally Friday

It feels like spring! And I'm going to get one of those birds, I swear I am, you just wait! But only if Mom takes me out. Can you believe she and Dad left me alone with Kavan ALL NIGHT on Tuesday night??? They left Tuesday afternoon and didn't come back until Wednesday night! Just me and Kavan. Kavan got worried and started to ration his crunchies, this was his first night without Mom and Dad. I had been left overnight before, so I knew they would come home, but it didn't make a night alone with Kavan any less tolerable, although I must admit it was nice not to be alone. They said something about appraising the mountain house to refinance. Well, I praise it all the time, its a great house, but I have no idea about finances, as long as there are enough around to give me and Kavan our Temptations, crunchies, and stinky goodness. And some day, a bird.......

Meezer Mancat Monday: How to do a Meezer Message

Here I am, exercising my paws. I need to keep them in shape to give Mom my famous Meezer messages. What, you don't know how to give a meezer message? Let me enlighten you....

1. Best time is between 3 and 5 am.

2. Start with a boob walk, pointy feet with 14 lbs of meezer on top of them usually will wake up Mom. She should be awake to enjoy the message.

3. If you think she is still asleep, lay on top of her chest, stare into her face, and tap her mouth gently with your paw, meowing "Mom, are you awake?"

4. Start the message in this position. Use both paws and start kneading her check, being careful not to use too much claw (this makes her cranky).

5. Take a quick potty break. Use the litter box close by and scratch hard so she can hear you.

6. Return to the same position, check Mom again with a paw in her mouth. She really appreciates this after you have used the litter box.

7. Resume kneading. Change positions and curl above her head on the pillow.

8. This is the best part, knead her hair. Use you claws here, her scalp is pretty tough.

9. Do this until she squeals with pleasure.

Its usually more than she can take, so you might get thrown off the bed. But be persistent. I've learned to stop before I get thrown out, or at least move down onto her arm. Who needs to pay for an expensive message when you have a mancat meezer mausese in the house?
