Tired Tuesday

A week ago today, we said good bye to our backyard, and headed to the mountain house! It actually all started a week ago yesterday. We got up as usual, only Mom wouldn't take us outside. This did not make us happy. Then, she shoved us in the PTUs! This really didn't make us happy. But both of us were very good in the car, and didn't yell or cry or anything. Mom was very proud. And then, when she stopped, she took us into the V-E-T! There were woofies and strange smells all over while we were waiting. But once in the room where they stick you, Mom took us out of the PTUs, and again, we were very good for the vet tech. We each let her take us way and weigh us. I'm 12 lbs! And Kavan is 14.2 lbs! Then, she sticked us with needles, which was OK. But when she tried to stick the temperature thing into Kavan's you know what, he would have nothing of it. So she stopped. She didn't dare try that to me.

We were again good on the way home, but when we got home, in front of the house was this humongous machine! It was huge! It must have been from outerspace, as there was this ramp thing coming out of our front door, and aliens stealing all of our stuff! Mom took us directly to the back yard, which was quiet and we liked. But I got hungry, and asked to be let in. Mom opened the slidy glass door, and there was this horrible shrieking ripping sound! I ran out the door into the back yard, to the side gate, and tried to jump the gate. Mom ran after me. But when I got the the top of the gate, I saw the aliens and stopped. Mom grabbed me. Kavan was clueless about what was going on inside. So Mom and Dad made a prison for us in Dad's office, which has a door to our bathroom. Kavan tried to break us out, but Dad did something to the door lever, so he couldn't. Then about halfway through the day, we were imprisoned in Mom and Dad's bedroom, which was completely empty! The aliens got all the stuff! Finally, the aliens left with all of their loot, and Mom let us out. The house was the same but different. Some of our furniture was still there, but some not. Mom and Dad slept on a funny mattress on the floor. But we were happy, the aliens were gone, and Mom an Dad were still there. So we all snuggled and went to sleep.

That was Monday night. Stay tuned, the trip gets wild!

The Move is on....and Remembering Roscoe

The packers show up today. I overheard Mom say she was taking me and Kavan to the V-E-T at about the same time they show up to make sure our shots are all in order. I'm looking for a box to hide in.....I'm not sure what is worse, strange people putting all of my cool stuff into boxes, or being forced into a PTU and going to the V-E-T! By the end of the week, we should be safely at our mountain house. I know we haven't been around much, and won't be this week either, but I made Mom promise we would fill you all in on how it all went. Wish us luck!

And amidst this chaos, we remember dear Roscoe....

Packing Worry and Awards

Things are getting pretty crazy around here. Kavan got worried Mom and Dad were going to leave him behind, so he decided to hide in a plastic bag to make sure he got packed away with everything else. Good thing his laser eyes gave him away, since the big "M" day is not for another two weeks. He would have been pretty hungry!

Even though Mom hasn't helped me visit all of my friends, my friends have been kind enough to give me two awards! I got this one from Luxor, and on his blogoversary no less!

The rules are...
1. Only five people (kitties) allowed.
2. Four have to be dedicated followers of your blog.
3. One has to be someone new or recently new to your blog and live in another part of the world.
4. You must link back to whoever gave you the award.

This is always so hard. I know they probably already have this award, but to the four dedicated followers, I must give it to:

Sammy and Miles
Latte
Cheysuli and Gemini
Zippy, Sadie and Speedy at Kattonic Cats

And the someone new in another part of the world goes to Castle

And I got this one from Adan!
The rules are:
1. The winner can put the logo on his/her blog
2. Link the person you received your award from
3. Nominate at least 7 other blogs
4. Put links of those blogs on yours, and
5. Leave a message on the blogs that you've nominated
.

Again, I love all your blogs! So I'm simply going to punt on this one, and give it to all of you (it said at least 7, so I know there are seven of you out there!)

Happy Meezer Monday Every Kitty!

Overwhelmed Wednesday

I am so overwhelmed! Thanks so much everyone for all the fabulous birthday wishes yesterday! And I was so touched that many of you felt bad you forgot. You didn't forget, MOM FORGOT! And she forgot to put my birthday on the Cat Blogosphere list, so how could any of you know? But you all made me feel warm and soft inside. You are the best. A few of you suggested that I should have a birthday month. Now, that is an idea!

Dad tried to make it up to me, he went and bought me this new collar. What do you think?

Here is another view..

It is a lot more shimmery and shiny than the pictures show. He keeps telling me he is going to make me a diamond collar. Now, that is one pretty great Dad, especially if he follows through.

And I can't believe I won the Girlie Q category in Monty Q's contest! Thank you all who voted for me, that was the best birthday present ever! I have no idea if it was the the Full Stretch Monty or the Sultry Princess Q that got the votes, but I am so honored, it was some pretty stiff competition!

Forgotten Birthday

I am NOT HAPPY. Mom and Dad have been so busy with this move thing, that they totally FORGOT MY BIRTHDAY! And not just for a day or two, but OVER A WEEK! It was a week ago Friday, August 22. I waited, and waited, and waited for my presents, my treats, all my birthday wishes, but they never came. Today Mom tried to make it up to me, she gave me extra Temptations. Dad felt so bad he went out to find me a diamond (rhinestone) collar fitting of a princess. But he couldn't find one. But he did find me a pretty shimmery one (I'll get him to take some pictures), and promised to make me a diamond collar. Even Kavan felt sorry for me and gave me some extra snuggles.

I felt so sorry for myself, I let him lie by me. At least Kavan wished me Happy Birthday.
