Sunday Meetings

Mom's getting ready to go to another "meeting" in Washington DC. She has to fly out early Sunday morning, so I don't even get a whole weekend with her! And we already lose an hour! I don't know who she has to keep meeting, I mean, hasn't she already met them? So I was whining yesterday, so she took me outside to do some meeting of my own. Our little round-end street was buzzing with meetings, as it was such a nice day. First, I had to survey the attendance.
Then I met some of the neighborhood girls who where out on their pink bikes. They looked really cute, and I loved watching them ride on their bikes. They went around and around and around, like a big toy. They were nice, they just watched me, and didn't try to come over and pick me up or anything. They didn't seem too sticky to me, but then, they didn't try to touch me. I really wanted to play with them, but couldn't quite do it, I'd walk up and watch, then go back to my yard.

I'm becoming quite the neighborhood celebrity. I mean, hey, haven't you ever seen a cat on a leash? Jeesh. Then I met the neighborhood feral kittens. We just sort of stared at each other. Mom wouldn't let me get too close, as she's not sure how healthy they are. Mom's been talking to some of the neighbor ladies who she thinks are feeding them, to convince them to take them to the vet to get their surgeries, along with some of the other ferals in the neighborhood that are also getting fed. So far, she hasn't had any luck. There is a local TNR group Mom is going to try to get the neighborhood involved with.
Then we came in and I had to help Mom pack. I layed all over her black suit jacket. I knew she would want some of my light colored hair that I am shedding to remember me by. She said she would help me blog while in that little talking box, we will see. Back to depending on Dad...

It looks like you have a lovely stroll Tara! Your mom is very smart not to let you get too close to the feral. I hope they manage to get fixed!

Good luck to you while your mom's away. I hope your dad takes good care of you!

Tara, any girl who rides a pink bike must be good. I think it was smart of you not to get too close to the feral cats, just to be safe. And I am certain that yer Mommie will be glad when she sees the white furs you left on her jacket.

Oh Tara, that was a nice walk you got. I'm sorry your mommy has to leave again. Maybe she'll bring you more stuff to play with! Make sure you get lotsa good hair on her jacket. Mommy's love that.

It is smart to stay away from the ferels cause they may be sick (I was!). I hope that lady takes care of their surgeries and vaccenations soon.

Let us know how your daddy is taking care of you while your mommy is gone!

What a great day for a walk!! We think that's called a "cul de sac" that you live on.

It's nice to know that you have weeds too! And it's very nice to know that your mom is trying to get the TNR people involved with those strays in your neighborhood!

Put lots of fur all over everything that your mom is taking to that meeting so she doesn't forget you!

Poor Tara, at least my mom comes home from work every day, eventually. Mom lived on one of those circle roads when she was a sticky little person, she called it a "cuddle sac" but I think Forty Paws is right, it was a cul-de-sac. Make sure dat yoo leave her lots of yoor furs to amember yoo by so she duzent miss yoo to much.

Catsby would love to go out for a walk. The only stroll he gets is along the window sill inside the house, but he olds lots of "meetings" with other cats who visit the porch.

Oh those little Ferals, so pretty. Maybe someone can help.

It's good to leave your mom with some kitty cat furs to remember you while she is gone. We hope she has a good trip!

Tara, I like your blue leash. You are lucky that you get to go outside and sniff around and meet people.

That looked like such a lovely time you had outside. Hope that your mom gets back real soon and we agree -- give her lots of fur so she will think of you while she's gone!

You had a nice, interesting stroll. Your Mom is right not to let you get too close to the ferals. The poor things are often sick. I hope someone can catch them and get them their operations and find them homes. They are certainly cute. It was very nice of you to leave some of your fur on your Mom's clothes so she won't miss you too much.
