Actually, the picture below is from Pet Alert. Its the kitty version of the heimlich maneuver. According to the site:
"If you can not remove or see the object or your pet is struggling too much to allow you to examine the mouth (and it is small enough) then pick your pet up by its hind legs, turning it upside down and shake. Slapping the back while shaking may to dislodge the object."
I sure hope Mom never has to do that to me!
Adan tagged me for a cool meme. Mom promises to help me with it tomorrow.

Hanging upside down by the wegs?
Oh my!
I thought that's what it was. :)
wow, i hope that i never am in that position. you're right, choaking does NOT sound like fun. thanks for the linky. we have a first aid book in my first aid bin, but this way we can just put the page in and not have to look it up in case of emergency.
Well, we'd have to be passed out to have that done to us!

Great advice ~ I've always thought what it would be like if the cat choked on something ~ now thanks to you I know how to handle it!
I hope I never have to have the Heimlich. It does not look very fun.
Then whut do you do after yer beans has successfully dislocated yer legs from yer hips wif all that upside-down-leg-shaking!!!

I don't think I want to be turned upside down.
Thank you for this kitty-saving technique.
Okay ... I promise NEVER to choke 'cuz I've got a short an' stocky body ... Danglin' from my back legs would hurt.

I would never let Kate pick me up like this, even if I was choking!
Oh we would have loved to know that ... Jezebel almost died from choking on something in her wind pipe and we had a b;lue kitty cat. We will remember ... thank you for showing us!
