Thankful Thursday

The Cat Blogosphere is a wonderful, caring community to be a member of. I've received three packages recently from very special friends.

Miss Peach sent me this beautiful Hope Joule and poem simply for making a donation to help Momma Hope.

I decided, however, that I don't like wearing joules nearly as much as I like clothes. Mom had a hard time getting me to hold still to take these pictures.

Too bad, this looks so lovely against my furs.

KC also sent me some cool gifts simply for helping Momma Hope. I was a little confused about the socks, since I don't wear socks, but Mom told me those were for her. Good thing.

You need to biggify the picture to see that the ribbon and pendant say Princess. Purrfect, isn't it?
And look at the great post card and book mark from Adan, all the way from Taiwan! Kavan had to hog some picture time here.

I'm so thankful to have such special furriends! Mom's away again in Seattle and won't be back till late Friday nite, so she may not be able to help me visit everyone as much as I would like. Sometimes her priorities.....

Meezer Monday: Stranger Behind the Fence

Can you believe it? Kavan and I were enjoying a nice Saturday afternoon in the back yard, when a nose poked through a knot hole!

We glared at it for a while, trying to determine who it was.

Then I took matters into my own paws.

It was one of the formerly ferals that used to spend some time in our back yard. The neighbor behind the fence adopted the little girl. We all played paws for a while. It was fun. But later that night, I was out on my lead with Mom, and she tried to come into the back yard. That I just couldn't allow, and chased her and pulled my lead all the way out and got to her before Mom could react. Over the fence she went. Like I said, I rule the yard.

Easy on Sunday Morning

I got a package! Of course, Kavan had to butt in....
It was my bed for winning the Q pose in Monty's contest! Isn't it great? And look at the great picture of Baby Bean....thinking she is a Moo bean.....
Monty also sent some Fancy Feast. I love Fancy Feast. Mom won't let me have it too often, as it can upset my tummy, but she said I could have this.

And to top it off, the packaging was a lot of fun to play with, although Mom complained we got peanuts all through the house. I was a little confused, they don't look like peanuts to me...

After all that excitement, I took a long nap in my great new bed. Thanks Monty!

Fashion Friday:Sweater Weather

Mom and I went out for our walk, and it was COLD!! Breezy and in the high 60's! Mom went in and got my sweater, when she put it on, I purred and purred, it was so nice and warm.

I wanted to go out in the cul-de-sac to show off my great hand-made sweater from the M's.

Sammy showed up. He was in awe of my gorgeous outfit, and bowed before me.

He also knows this is my front yard, and I rule!

Its Meow like a Pirate Day at Meowers from Missouri!!

Me maties, here be a cool pirate costume Mom bought me for Halloween, arrr arrr arrr!

Isn't it great? I was saving it for the Fashion Friday before Halloween, but Meow Like a Pirate Day seemed like a great time to put it on. It has beautiful soft black cloth with gold trim.
And me great pirate hat with the skull and cross bones!

I be goin' out for me raid...lookin for treats and temptations. Look out me boys! Here I come!

Meezer Rule: If you work real hard at being a pirate, Mom will give in on the Temptations to keep you from raiding her underwear drawer.

More Drinking Techniques

Kavan likes to get in the sink after its been used, even if it is still a bit wet...

Sometimes you can still get a bit of fresh water....

but it takes a little work.

you really need to coax it....

Kavan sometimes resorts to licking the side, getting any splashed drops...

a little claw action might help....

But then you need to clean them....
