I expected Mom to find me a fashionable shirt from Seattle while she was up there (missing my birthday!). She did a pretty good job. What do you think?
We are doing this in the evening, as its been over 100 degrees for three days straight here. While Mom brought the cool Seattle weather home with her for a day or two, unfortunately it didn't stay.
Its important to walk around to make sure the fit is right. And a little shoulder action keeps the mancats interested.
Tail position is also important.
Not bad Mom, it even matches some of the backyard flowers!

Scattergories Meme
We are busy around here, as we are getting ready to go to our mountain house tomorrow. Mom's home today, but between feeling sad about all of our furriends leaving us and being busy for our trip, I couldn't convince her to help me blog. She liked the idea of lighting a candle for the ones that have left us at our mountain house this weekend, this made her feel a little better. We do have a great Fashion Friday for tomorrow (allowing Mom to cross one more thing off that last Thursday Thirteen list). But while she was taking a break, so I asked her to help me and Kavan do the Scattergories meme that has been floating around. She agreed.

Meezer Rule Wednesday
Snoopervising is very important work. Kavan is still in training, but he is coming along.
Its important to make sure all the dishes are in the right place.
"OK, Mom, they look good to me"
Meezer rule: Its easier to snoopervise loading the dishes into the washer, as after it is done, sitting on the open door can be a little wet. And Moms don't like furs on clean dishes.

Tickled Tuesday
Mom's doing pretty good on my list. We've been going outside a lot, and she let me climb the peach tree. I get a great view of the backyard from up here. And last night I chased an opossum in our back yard! I was very brave and chased him onto the fence, in which he scurried along and into our neighbor's back yard. Then, after going inside, Kavan and I got some of the Coho salmon from Seattle. It was fabulous, but very rich, so we just got a little (yes I did share with my little brother).
And I won the Monty Q pose in Monty's great contest! Thank all of you who voted for me! You have excellent taste! And thanks for the great contest Monty!
Mom took Kavan to the vet yesterday. He's been off the Zithromax for about a week now. But he still has "ear issues". Although the infection is gone, and the perforation has healed, the eardrum in both ears is still a bit cloudy. The doc said if Kavan was a human toddler, he would get tubes in his ears! He is a little concerned about potential hearing loss, but so far Kavan hears fine. So Mom came home with more ear drops, that now he gets in both ears every other day. But he is much better, so much better he got scheduled for his hoo-ha-ectomy on September 11. While out for that, the doc will really clean his ears and check them closely.
Until then, he obviously feels good enough to pester me......

Meezer Monday Payback
So last Thursday I listed 13 things I expected from Mom for missing my first birthday. Three of those things was I wanted salmon, halibut and tuna. Mom couldn't find all of those in a form that she could bring back without stinking up her luggage. But she did find four kinds of salmon.
Salmon is my most favorite fish.....
I can't wait to try these....
That's a good start Mom. So what about the rest of the list? She did take me out of doors THREE times on Saturday and Sunday! And although it wasn't quite the cool Seattle weather, it was much cooler than when she was gone (high 80's instead of into the 100's). Dad took care of one of the list. He locked Kavan up in the bathroom on my birthday, gave me a whole can of salmon by myself, and sang happy birthday to me! Made Mom cry when he told her. It made me so happy!
She's working on the rest of the list. We will she how she does this week!

Seven strange things about Mom
Megan of Bad Kitty Cats tagged Mom for the seven strange things meme. I'll do it for her, so I can list what I think are strange things about her!
1. She enjoys the strange looks she gets when she takes me for walks in my harness. Especially when I have my cute shirts on.
2. She can sense when friends or family are thinking of calling her on the phone, and usually calls them before they call her. They always say "I was just thinking of calling you!"
3. When Dad is on travel and she doesn't have to go to work, she can spend days not talking to any other bean, with no TV or newspapers, although she would have a hard time not talking to me or Kavan, or not getting on the innernet.
4. She loves to run, but will also spend hours walking, especially when alone while traveling for work. She will spend all evening walking around places she is visiting, often getting back to her hotel room way after dark.
5. She often forgets to brush her hair all day, even when at work and going to important meetings... its very long, so sometimes it can look pretty snarly...
6. She wants to come back as a fat, spoiled Siamese.
7. She played around with witchcraft as a kid, but never got very good at it.
I'm not going to tag anyone, as Megan tagged lots, but if you want to play, please do!

Fashion Friday
Kavan's in big trouble. While Mom's been gone, he has 1) broken one of her favorite crystal bowls she keeps on the table next to her favorite recliner, and 2) broken one of her drinking glasses. Good things she has been gone.....
And to think he got a new muscle shirt for joining the Kissing Academy! Mom says he gives lots of kisses, but usually at 3 am, which includes kneeding her cheeks with his claws...
"Mom, Daisy gets paid for doing this...."
"So where is my paycheck?"
"MOM, where are the Temptations?????"
"Hey, you broke my crystal bowl, this is payback!"

Thankful Thursday Thirteen
I'm so overwhelmed! Thanks everycat for the great birthday yesterday! I am so lucky to have great friends and family like all of you! My adopted mom Chey and sister (I think of her as a sister, not an aunt) Gemini gave me a great party! I teleported over to Seattle, and Chey had the Seattle Police Department roundup Mom for me! Wasn't quite the same as seeing her in real life at home, but still it was great! Kimo and Sabi as well as Adan posted a great birthday picture for me. You all just fill my heart! I wanted to get around to thank every cat personally, but with Mom still in Seattle, I just couldn't do it. So please, know that I appreciated your thoughts from the bottom of my ladycat heart!
Speaking of Mom still in Seattle, I still haven't quite forgiven her for leaving on my birthday. So here are 13 things I expect when she returns:
1. Pacific salmon from Seattle, only the best!
2. A fashionable Seattle t-shirt
3. One of the great fiberglass artistic pigs all around Seattle celebrating the centennial of the Pike street market, or at least a miniature copy (these are full size statues!)
4. Tuna from Pike street market
5. Halibut from Pike street market
6. Some of Chey and Gemini's furs
7. Some of the cool Seattle weather (its been in the 70's there, and near or over 100 here!)
8. Walks outside at least three times a day
9. Close Kavin up in a separate room for at least a little while
10. Lots of belly rubs
11. Help visiting all my friends bloggies that I couldn't get to this week
12. Long naps on the balcony knowing Mom is in the house
13. Lots and lots of Mommy love

Birthday, Promotion and Meezer Rule
I'm one year old today! No longer a teenager, now I'm a full grown, sultry, sexy womancat! Graceful, elegant, mysterious. No more kitten hood for me. Watch out mancats!
Mom should be here throwing me a party. But no, Dad came home at the usual time, but no Mom. I went upstairs and pouted. But look at the great card Adan made for me!
And so, because you feel sorry for me, vote for me in Monty Q's Do The Q contest! Here I am in my regal full Monty pose, showing my womancat full figure....
And my regal Monty Q, mysterious and sultry......
Did I say it was my birthday? I'll even put in a plug for Kavan's full Monty, although he is still getting the hang of it.....
Meezer Rule: When you are a meezer, self-promotion is not shameful, it is necessary, as it is our royal duty the educate the unwashed masses on how wonderful we are.

Nose, face and body twin
So, as challenged by the Crew, I've been looking for my nose twin. Now, I think Casey and I are purrfect twins. Even though I couldn't really find a close shot of her nose, just look. Face twins....
and tummy twins....
And Casey is a Meezer Diva, and I'm a Princess Meezer, so we are soul sisters!

Meezer Rule and Meme
Humphf, I can't believe Kavan snuck onto my blog yesterday without me knowing! I was taking a nice nap, but the next thing you know, Kavan was as high as a kite on Dad's stinky toe smells, and actually got on the computer! You just can't turn your back around here!
Meezer Rule: Only mature kitties should be allowed to recreationally use mind-altering substances such as nip and stinky shoes, as kittens are likely to hurt themselves, or embarrass you.
Storm tagged me for a middle name meme. Here are the rules:
1. Post the rules before you give the facts.
2. List one fact that is somehow relevant to you and your life for each letter of your middle name. If you don’t have a middle name, use the middle name you would have liked to have had.
3. When you are tagged you need to write your post using your middle name and facts about it.
4. At the end of your post, choose one cat to tag for each letter of your middle name. Be sure to let each cat know she/he has been tagged. (It's okay if you don't do this... tag who you want to tag!)
Well, I'm Tara, Princess Meezer, so I guess my middle name is Princess.
P: Precocious. I mean, I have a blog don't I?
R: Righteous. I know what is rightfully mine.
I: Indignant. Especially around Kavan.
N: Noble. I am a princess after all.
C: Cautious. I won't let just any commoner pick me up.
E: Enigmatic. I am a cat.
S: Sultry.
S: Simply wonderful.
Notice modest is not on the list. Now, I'm suppose to tag eight kitties, but I don't think I'll do that many. I tag Zed Monster, Honey P. Sunshine, and Sophia.

Weekend Cat Blogging #114: Remembering those who came before
Upsie and Sher at What Did You Eat lost dear little Sundance this past Friday. Even though they are working through great grief, they are still hosting Weekend Cat Blogging #114. I can think of no better way to honor Sundance. So I decided my post would be in honor of one who came before. Mom and Dad lost Baby to cancer just before they got me. He was only about three years old. But they weren't really sure of his age, as he just showed up in their back yard a few years back, a young neutered male in his prime. At first, Mom and Dad would only let him sleep on the back yard furniture.
But soon they were allowing him inside. He loved sleeping inside.
But he really loved sleeping with Dad
And he loved playing in water. Mom and Dad had to keep the toilet seats down, but if they forgot, he knew in a minute...
He also loved the laser light, and would chase it till he dropped. But after a while, Mom and Dad noticed he wasn't doing so well. His coat was getting rough, he was losing weight, and he didn't play like he used to, just slept (well, he always slept alot).
It took several trips to the vet to finally figure out he had a mass in his stomach that was likely cancer. Turned out he was FIV positive as well. This is one of the last pictures of Mom and Baby.
When Mom finally decided it was time, on a sunny Friday afternoon in late October, she made an appointment with our vet to take him in. But when she and Dad got home from work, he was no where to be found. They could hear him cry in the backyard, but couldn't find him. Dad looked over the back fence, and Baby looked up at him, extended his paws as if to say "Pick me up, I can't get over the fence!". It broke Dad's heart. He pulled a plank off the fence to let him through. Mom gathered him up and put him in his carrier and cried all the way to the vet. Normally, he would make a big fuss in the carrier, but this time he layed down and purred, slowly wagging his tail, as if to say "Its all right, its time". Mom was with him when he went.
Now Mom and Dad have me and Kavan. But they still miss Baby alot. I wish I could have known him. Mom can understand the pain of the loss of Sundance. But he is with Baby right now, happy and whole, and waiting for us at the Bridge.
