We finally got a little break in the weather on Monday afternoon. Mom was working at home, so when she was done she took us out. It was great. Our birdfeeder is the neighborhood gathering place for house finches, sparrows, mockingbirds, scrub jays and mourning doves! I want one SOOO bad! I did get to chase a few that were brave enough to try to eat seed off the ground, but they got away....sigh...one of these days.
Meezer Rule: A bird in the paw is always better than two in the bird feeder. But they need to sit still long enough for me to get one!

I'm sorry you didn't get bird... but you look fabulous! I'm so tired of this rain.
That's a great rule, Tara. :) It's nice that you got to go out in your yard.
sorry you didn't get a fev-ver Tara. you do look wonderful though!
You will get one of those birdies one day!
That is an excellent meezer rule. It looks so nice there... perhaps I should come and visit. Wait I still can't go east yet. The pass is STILL closed.
I bet you get one soon, Tara. No birdie can outwit you!
You look lovely in that picture. Very regal.
I want a seagull so badly....
Birds look super hard to catch. Titus says that old squirrels are pretty easy to get, though. hee hee
Love,
Tazo
Yeah, they're not easy to catch. Maybe that's why they taste so good when you get one?
Hahahaha...bird in the paw. (sigh) I've never had a read birdie in my paw.
Your friend
Misty

Tara, just watch and wait. If you are very fast, you will catch a birdie one day. After that, you have to bring it inside and lay it at the feet of your favorite person.
Halloween
I hafta get me one of those bird feeders...
We gets lots of birdies at our feeders too. The all look delish, but they are outside and I am inside. So no way I am going to get one.
That's a great Meezer rule. Just keep trying and you may get one some day. I'm glad you got a break in the rain so you could go outside. That's a lovely picture of you.
We're sorry you didn't get a bird. But they are fun to watch when they fly around. They can't fly if they is stuck in your paws.
Good luck next time!
Excellent! Simply excellent rule! Mommy hangs hummingbird feeders our and I’ll be danged if I can catch one of those suckers! I think those hummers have jet engines because they go VRRROOOOOMMMM right over my head! I want one so bad I can taste it (well, I can’t taste it yet, but I am sooo looking forward to it!).
Good luck getting one of your own!
If Birdies we easy, they wouldn't be fun.
I'm asking for one of those bird baths for my birthday, its like a gift producing machine! I'm sure there are plenty of cats on the blogosphere who can give you some tricks in bird catching. My lady servant says I wiggle my bum too much, it gives away my position!
Purrs,
Tamra
Or you need wings, Tara - hahaha.
I know your frustration, I have the same with mice -- they are so tiny you can hardly see them, only smell...

Hi Tara,
Thanks for visiting our blog-wow you get to see birds up close and personal! We only see them thru a window-but we still make the noises when we see birds!! We love birds!
It's so nice that sammy and Miles sent you over to see us! Wow!! Lots of kitty friends!
Kodak, Perf and WInton
Ha ha! Good rule Tara. Thank you so much for visiting my blog during my surgery and diagnosis, and for leaving such encouraging comments. I am so thankful to have so many supportive friends. Purrs!
We hope you catch a bird soon, Tara! Mom doesn't like it when we catch birdies. She says that we can hunt all the starlings we want, but we can't tell the difference between a starling and a cardinal. What does she expect us to be, ornithologists?
