OMGOSH!!! He did it, he really did it! Kavan and I were up on the balcony, and he was being a little crazy and showing off.
"Watch me Tara, Watch!" as he scrambled up on the banister two stories up.
"Careful Kavan, you are going to fall!" as he showed off by making a 360 turn on the banister.
Mom was below in her recliner reading the Cat Blogosphere. She could hear Kavan talking like he always does when he is showing off. She turned her head towards the couch, which is right below the banister where Kavan was (and where Dad usually sits, but he was out with a friend tonight) to tell him to be careful, when....
there was this terrible crashing sound, and then a 15 pound meezer falling through the air feet first at terminal velocity heading straight for the couch! He landed feet first on the couch, bounced off, landed feet first on the floor right in front of Mom, and looked at her with the expression "What?" like nothing extraordinary just happened!
I came running down to make sure he was OK, and he had the gall to pounce on me like it was normal fun!
Mom laughed so hard for so long I thought she was hurting herself, so I jumped up on the arm of the chair, and with a concerned look, stuck my face into her face. This made her laugh even harder!
I finally left in disgust....

Boys...
Kavan, that sounds like great fun! At least your mom had the good sense to laugh and not get all upset like most moms would.

Tara, we are so sorry that your brother scared you and that your mom laughed at you when you were concerned about her.

WOWY - whut a risk taker! Maybe he should join da circus!
How scary!!
Our humans had to put up a net on our second floor banister, because it is less than an inch wide, yet we would both try to walk along it. They were scared we would fall and hurt ourselves (nothing soft beneath it, just more stairs and hardwood floors).
Wow! I guess Kavan is a jumper!
How soon do you think he will try that stunt again?
awesome!!!! good job Kavan!!!! we don't haf a couch to land on unner our balcony, just more stairs, but we jump anyway
It's OK!! Kavan was working with a safety net!!!!! OK,so it was a couch! heh, heh, heh

No wonder you put the whappy on him! Although I must say that sounds like Kavan had quite a fun little ride there...
That was rude of her to laugh at you when you were just being worried. Kavan was very lucky. I hope he does not do that again.
Wow! Kavan, buddy! Be careful!
What? Sounds like fun to us!
Oh my goodness! Kavan is very lucky he had a safety net below him!
OMB! I'm glad we don't have stairs, Empress would be doing that and giving me a heart attack every other day! ~Queen Snickers
How scary!!! Kaze and I fell off the woodwork once and terrified Meowmy. You're lucky the couch was right there!!
