Here is Kavan...
Kavan is raising his paw for The Nature Conservancy. The Nature Conservancy's mission is to preserve the plants, animals and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive. They use a science-based design to identity high-priority places that if conserved, promise to ensure biodiversity over the long term. Then, they work to outright purchase or obtain conservation easements to protect these wonderful places.
And here I am...
I'm raising my paw for the American Cancer Society. Cancer runs very deep in my Mom's mom's side of the family. She has lost several aunts and uncles, as well as both grand parents, to this terrible disease. The aunt she went to Hawaii with (herself a cancer survivor) helps organize the local American Cancer Society walk-a-thon every year. Mom has participated a few times.

There are a lot of good causes out there...you guys picked a couple of very good ones.
You both did good paw raising! I hope you gets the one for ACS. They do very good work. Momma says they are the one place that she got more than she asked for from. I think that is very good.
I am still a bit afraid of the cat dancer in Momma's hands, but I play with it when she just hangs it up--when Cheysuli is not around to hog it all up.
Great photos of you and Kavan raising a paw, Tara. Those are great charities! Both of my humans support the Canadian Cancer Society. My dad's mom is a breast cancer survivor, my mom's dad is a prostate cancer survivor, and my dad's dad died of an inoperable brain tumour. Cancer is a horrible disease.
You did a great job raising your paws! And I think you picked some very wonderful causes, too. The great thing about this contest is that, no matter who "wins", every cause wins by getting more exposure.

Very fine paw raising, Tara and Kavan, and excellent causes. Our mom lost her mother and her former husband to cancer, and her good friend is battling her third recurrence of breast cancer. Good work, both of you!
